DIY Fabric Napkins
I love Holiday Decor and what a fun project to make your own DIY Fabric Napkins! These are perfect for the kids table! Such a quick and easy project that you can whip up for not just Christmas, but any occasion. These fabric Christmas napkins were such a breeze to put together! I finished the set, which totals 8 different napkins. I just love this fabric!
Materials needed for DIY fabric napkins
- QTY (1) Layer Cake of Fabric (check out these fun Layer Cakes)
basic Sewing Supplies Needed
- Serger
- (I recommend a JUKI Serger – like THIS ONE I tested at a recent TradeShow!
- Cotton Thread
- Oliso Iron & Ironmatik Ironing Board
Sewing Instructions for DIY Fabric Napkins
- Place (2) fabric squares wrong sides together
- Serge all four sides and trim threads
Make as many as you’d like. Super cute and really easy! I love how this makes the napkins reversible too! I think it is fun to look through your entire Layer Cake and pick some nice contrasting pieces for each side. Think of all the occasions that Fabric Napkins can be used for! Here are just a few:
- Christmas Dinner
- Thanksgiving Dinner
- Easter Supper
- Fourth of July BBQ
- Fancy Tea Party
- Graduation or Birthday Party
These napkins were a quick and rewarding project. I hope you give it a try.

My new love is paper piecing and I’m making some pillows for gifts and small wall hangings our minis for my craft room. Thanks for all the inspiration and giveaways!
I’ve been working on 6.5″ turkey trot blocks for a set of coasters. Also, have my eye on turkey trot placements. Then on to Christmas gifts! Thanks for the giveaway ?
What size fabric squares did you use?
The fabric squares I used are the size of a Layer Cake, which is 10″ x 10″. Happy Sewing!
