Guest Interview: Amy Barickman of Indygo Junction
This month, we are excited to introduce Amy Barickman, a creative entrepreneur and historian with over 30 years of experience. As the founder of Indygo Junction and author of Vintage Notions, Amy is passionate about upcycling vintage and thrifted fabrics, a love that shines through in her projects, books, and patterns. She also curates vintage textiles and shares their stories through her Vintage Modern Makers online series, which explores historical techniques like Redwork and Feedsacks.
Her latest endeavor, the Treasured Threadz™ Collection, developed in partnership with Colonial Patterns, showcases faux patchwork panels that are perfect for quilting, applique, and more. Amy’s philosophy, “Vintage Made Modern,” inspires makers to blend vintage style with modern creativity.
