What to Make: Maker’s Choice Pin Cushions

The Pin Cushion Swap celebrates your creativity and allows you to design a pin cushion in any style or technique you choose. You’re only required to make one, so the pressure is off to spend a lot of time on this project! Just because this is a simple project, does not mean that participants will skimp on the details! Our swappers love to go all out!

Each participant shares their preferences, so you can tailor your creation to suit your partner’s tastes. This personal touch makes the exchange even more special. Swappers From Around the World

While most of our participants are from the United States, we often have swappers from Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, and Australia. Being paired with an international partner is always a treat! Whether you choose to swap domestically or internationally is entirely up to you, and the cost of shipping is the responsibility of each participant.

Keep in mind that international shipping can be expensive, so be sure to make the choice that works best for you when you sign up.

Swap Angels: A Rare Backup Plan

We have generous participants who volunteer as Swap Angels. These folks are available to step in if a participant is unable to fulfill their commitment, ensuring that no one is left out. However, let’s be clear: signing up for a swap is a commitment. If you ghost us or your partner, you will no longer be allowed to participate in future swaps. We keep close track of participants to ensure a positive experience for everyone, and we work hard to prevent anyone from being left disappointed.

Good communication is key. Partners are not kept a surprise in this swap—you’ll know who your partner is right from the start. This connection helps foster trust and makes it easier to stay in touch, reducing the chances of needing a Swap Angel. If you sign up, we ask you to take pride in completing your swap and keeping your commitments.

Swap Swag: Add a Touch of Joy

For those who love going above and beyond, Swap Swag is a voluntary tradition that lets you include a little extra gift for your partner. It could be anything small, like a sewing notion, a tube of Chapstick, or a treat.

While it’s not required, it’s a great way to add a bit more joy to your swap package without significant cost or weight.
