Modern Love QAL

Are you ready to kick off the year with a fun and creative quilting adventure? Join us for the Modern Love Quilt-A-Long (QAL), starting on Friday, January 10, 2025! This six-week event is designed to guide you through making the stunning Modern Love Quilt, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Registration is completely free, but participants must purchase the quilt pattern. You can get the printed booklet version from your favorite quilt shop or purchase the PDF pattern directly from me. Active participants will be eligible to win weekly prizes from our amazing sponsors. To prove your active status, simply post your weekly progress photos in our online community or email them directly to me.

Quilt Pattern Options

The Modern Love quilt pattern is available in multiple sizes, but we recommend making the Throw size for this event. It’s a fat quarter-friendly pattern, making it perfect for using fabrics from your stash or exploring exciting new options.

Modern Love QAL Schedule

Here’s the six-week breakdown of the Modern Love QAL:

• Week #1 (January 10): Choose your Pattern Format & your Fabric
• Week #2 (January 17): Cut your Fabric & Make HSTs
• Week #3 (January 24): Make your “O” Blocks
• Week #4 (January 31): Make your “X” Blocks
• Week #5 (February 7): Assemble your Quilt Top & Finish your Quilt
• Week #6 (February 14): Finished Quilt Reveal

With this clear schedule, you’ll stay motivated and on track each week while enjoying tips, prizes, and community support. Each week, all registered participants will receive an email with tips and tricks to help you stay on track and be organized. If you need video instructions for each step of the way – best get the On-Demand Video Course. This is very helpful for those that like to have video instruction, along side their pattern.
