Scissor Case Swap Recap
Our Scissor Case Swap has officially wrapped up, and we loved seeing all the creativity that came together! Makers from across the country, along with a few international participants, created beautiful handmade scissor cases featuring unique fabrics, thoughtful details, and plenty of personality.
This swap welcomed both returning participants and those joining us for the first time, making it a wonderful celebration of our sewing community. One of the best parts of the swap was seeing all the wonderful scissor cases shared by our talented makers! From simple and classic designs to colorful, detailed creations, each case showcased its maker’s personal style. Some participants reached for favorite fabrics from their stash, while others experimented with new prints, colors, and design ideas inspired by their swap partners. Every scissor case was thoughtfully handmade and uniquely special—a wonderful reflection of the creativity and care that make our swaps so much fun!

The Scissor Case Swap was about so much more than making a handmade project—it was an opportunity to connect with fellow makers. Being paired with a swap partner gave everyone a chance to exchange ideas, share progress, encourage one another, and build new friendships along the way. It’s always wonderful to see how creativity can bring people together and turn a simple sewing project into a meaningful community experience.
A Joyful Zoom Celebration
We wrapped up the swap with a lively Zoom celebration, where participants came together to show off their finished scissor cases and share the stories behind them. Seeing all the different designs, fabrics, and creative details was such a treat! Our virtual gathering gave swap partners a chance to meet face-to-face, celebrate each other’s work, share a few laughs, and enjoy one last dose of sewing inspiration before the swap came to an end.
